Karen Jacks Ames

I worked for 20+ years for UPRR in Pocatello. We were transferred to the Portland office in 1986, where I took a buyout from the Railroad. We lived in Vancouver, WA for 3 years, then were transferred to Omaha, Nebraska, where I started working in a law office. In 2001 we moved to Lacey, Washington, and I worked as a personal injury paralegal, until I retired in 2007. We then moved to Rochester, WA in 2008 to be closer to our two daughters and two grandchildren. I keep busy with teaching Sunday School, paper crafting, scrapbooking, and helping with my granddaughter's girl scout troop.

I completed one year at Idaho State, then went to Grimm's Business College in Pocatello. I went back to school at Elkhorn Community College in Nebraska, where I took paralegal studies.
